MEDICAL CLINIC UPDATE
The month’s update on our mission hospital is presented along the paths of the three main domains of the hospital’s activities – General healthcare, Charity and the Gospel. We have the following few selected stories.
CHARITY HEALTH SERVICES:
Several medical services were provided to many patients for free or at assisted cost during the month. Most of these services have to do with maternal and child health cases. 13 women had child deliveries virtually free of charge within the month; three of these was a highly-subsidized cesarean section. This is in addition to several orphans who also had medical services free of charge.
GENERAL HEALTH CARE:
S.Y., a 64-year-old man who presented with bilateral anterior waist swelling and scrotal enlargement. Diagnosed of bilateral inguinal hernia and hydrocele. Had successful repair. He is currently doing well.
REPORT FROM MoM Clinic Outlet in Otutulu Village:
Recall that Daniel was the last baby of the month? Unfortunately, he came in with an umbilical infection. Our Medical officer was consulted and he placed him on series of antibiotics. Glory be to God, his condition has now improved.
Some of our children had respiratory infections characterized with severe cough and vomiting, shortness of breath and fever. M.S. came to the clinic having symptoms of malaria and now feeling better after treatments. Some of the children with skin problems have continued to improve.
THE GOSPEL
Gospel activities are ongoing in the Medical Center, targeted at patients and relatives. In the absence of a substantive chaplain, the activities are being coordinated by some of our medical staff for now. The gospel continues to be shared among our patients and their caregivers through various avenues - Morning devotion sessions and ward evangelism.
FARM UPDATE
The Poultry - The new layers bought in on the 18th September, 2022 are growing well.
The Piggery - We are glad our pigs continue to give birth. This serves as a great source of protein for our children.
Tomatoes Harvest: The children are helping with harvesting our tomatoes during the weekend.

Creating a new football field for the school.
